Sri bhootham

Sri Bhootha is a Theyam that belongs to the group of Bhootha(Demob) Theyams. There are different types of Bhootha(demon) Theyams, such as demons associated with God Shiva, forest demons associated with hunting, and ghosts of human beings who have died. The Sri Bhootham is a demon associated with God Shiva.

There are demons associated with God Shiva. such as Velutha Bhootham, Karutha Bhootham, Chuvanna Bhootham and Sree Bhootham.

Bhootha Theyyams are usually performed with humorous movements and verbal expressions. Bhotha Theyyams usually performed In the middle of the night. Sri Bhootam Theyyam has no face writing or body paintings , Sri Bhootham costume is very simple with a red cloth and face mask.
